Swingfit Foundation

The beginnings, plans & structures

The Foundation is the brainchild of Stephen Rumball, a keen golfer and fellow member of Pezula, who got together with Simon Hunt in 2011 and has done all the groundwork in launching the Foundation and also provided the funding for the initial years. A registered charity has been set up in the Channel Islands. Funds will be raised in sterling and the trustees will administer the distribution of these funds to coaching projects in South Africa.

3 ways

to get involved

How can I get involved?

There are so many different ways that your generous donations can support the foundation.

1  Sponsor a school for a term or a year

We are very keen to get support for our current school projects and indeed create the funding to set up new partnerships. One hour of coaching each week for a term costs from R4000.

2  Scholarship for young promising amateurs

As you can imagine the cost of traveling the country to compete in the major amateur events is quite significant when one considers all the expenses, whichinclude flights, hire cars, accommodation, entry fees and food. The Foundation would like to be able to assist the more promising students in this way.

3  Support a youngster through their PGA diploma

Last year, the foundation contributed significantly to 2 PGA diploma students Keelan Africa and Cassidy Williams We would like to provide support for one student of every intake looking to continue supporting him through 2017 as he enters his second year. The fees for a whole year are apprxomately R70 000 which includes all lectures and coaching, tournaments, clothing, affiliation fees and full membership of Stellenbosch golf club.
